Video Transcription
I'm going to present my video clip. The title is Secondary Laparoscopic Cytoreduction for Recurrent Ovarian Cancer in Case of Laparoscopic Primary Devulcating Surgery. We have no conflict of interest in this presentation. A 52-year-old Korean woman had a laparoscopic primary optimal devulcating surgery on September 22, 2015. The FIGO stage 3c was confirmed and she received 12 cycles of peclatexel-carboplatin chemotherapy. Since then, it had been checked as NED state for 6 months. During follow-up, lab results showed elevation of CA125 and recurrence was confirmed by PET-CT imaging. This is at the time of primary devulcating. We performed LAVH with BSO, cul-de-sac mass excision, pelvic and paralymphatic anectomy. In addition, diaphragm resection and omentectomy were performed. She received adjuvant chemotherapy with peclatexel-carboplatin for 12 cycles. We performed a laparoscopic secondary cytoreductive surgery on November 28, 2017. Metastatic lymph nodes were confirmed along the left iliac vessels like seen in the previous PET-CT imaging and resected them. What was seen as recurrence around the right paracolic gutter area were metastatic nodules on the cecum surface. We removed the nodules and repaired the vowel cirrhosis. She is receiving chemotherapy with stable disease at this time. Thank you very much for your time.
Video Summary
The video discusses a case of a 52-year-old Korean woman with recurrent ovarian cancer. She initially had laparoscopic primary devulcating surgery followed by chemotherapy. After six months of no evidence of disease, a recurrence was detected through elevated CA125 levels and confirmed by PET-CT imaging. The patient underwent a laparoscopic secondary cytoreductive surgery, where metastatic lymph nodes and nodules on the cecum surface were resected. The patient is currently receiving chemotherapy and has stable disease. The video concludes with gratitude for the viewers' time. No credits were mentioned.
