In this month's edition of Ed's List: In The Know, several significant publications in the field of gynecologic oncology are summarized. These include studies on the impact of catch-up HPV vaccination on cervical screening outcomes, the association between polycystic ovary syndrome and risk of pancreatic cancer, and the role of copy number variants in ovarian cancer risk.

Other studies highlighted include the classification of high-grade serous ovarian cancer using tumor morphologic characteristics, the use of straighteners and other hair products and incident uterine cancer, and the prediction of ovarian carcinoma disease progression using exosome biomarkers.

Additionally, there are studies on the use of DNA methylation testing for triage of high-risk HPV positive women, the effect of hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) on stage III ovarian cancer, and the association of premenopausal bilateral oophorectomy with parkinsonism and Parkinson's disease.

Finally, there are publications on the survival benefits of receiving care at National Cancer Institute-designated cancer centers, the cost-effectiveness of hysterectomy with gynecologic-oncologists for endometrial intraepithelial neoplasia, and the use of hormone therapy after early breast cancer.

These studies provide valuable insights into various aspects of gynecologic oncology and contribute to the understanding and management of gynecologic cancers.
