Video Summary
This video demonstrates a robotic-assisted ileal conduit formation for urinary diversion. A 15 cm segment of ileum is harvested, with careful preservation and skeletonization of mesenteric blood supply. The conduit’s afferent limb is anchored to the sacrum for stability. Ureters are mobilized and anastomosed to the conduit with ureteric stenting using guide wires and catheters to ensure proper placement and prevent displacement. The efferent limb is tested for leaks, then small bowel side-to-side anastomosis is performed. Ureteric stents are secured and exteriorized, and the ileal conduit is matured at the abdominal wall, with stents removable after 6 weeks if no leakage is detected.
