IGCS and OPEN Pathology Education Network have partnered to provide IGCS members with access to OPEN Pathology's gyncologic oncology module. Modules must be completed in sequential order.
OPEN Pathology Education Network is a collaborative project aiming to improve human health by lowering the barriers to quality pathology education and training globally, and by enriching the educational resources available to the current global pathology community. OPEN’s no-cost pathology curriculum has been curated, organized and presented to help expand the workforce of qualified pathologists in the world, particularly in low-resource and developing nations.

Gyn Pathology Module 2
This course is designed to help intermediate pathology trainees with some basic pathology skills to increase their ability to recognize and diagnose common and less common gynecologic entities, to learn how to prepare reports for clinical use and otherwise begin to become a valuable consultant pathologist. Grossing skills and principles are presented for the several organ systems, and a collection of commonly encountered diagnoses are studied along with variations possibly encountered.
The course assumes basic medical knowledge from medical school, and some basic understanding of work processes in a pathology laboratory. Practical skills in diagnosing disease and presenting reports of your findings will be used for major portions of the evaluation. Completion of Gyn Module 1 is required.
Gyn Pathology Module 3
In this course you will learn more about some of the less common ovarian lesions you may encounter. We will also devote considerable attention to evaluation of products of conception and gestational diseases. We will go into depth on the methods for evaluation of these tissues to determine the diagnosis.
