This program is a basic curriculum that addresses gaps and challenges in pathology education for gynecologic oncologists in regions of the world where formalized training is either unavailable or poorly specialized. A certificate of completion is provided.
Program Goals
Developed to make strides towards better gynecologic oncology pathology assessment, ultimately enhancing the global fight against gynecologic cancers in resource-limited areas.
- Establish a foundation of up-to-date basic pathology knowledge and skills relevant to gynecologic oncologists practicing in diverse environments.
- Develop the ability to interpret essential histopathological, immunophenotypically and molecular findings and reports.
- Enhance the role of pathology within diverse and multidisciplinary gynecologic oncology care teams and improve patient outcomes.
Modules
The program consists of nine modules that include the full spectrum of relevant pathology concepts and images from macroscopic examination, specimen processing, microscopic diagnosis, immunohistochemistry and even molecular and genetic implications. Each module includes a pre and post exams to test your knowledge.
