Ovarian cancer symptoms are often vague and non-specific, leading to delayed diagnoses. Prof. Sudha Sundar discusses symptom-triggered testing in ovarian cancer detection, including ROCkeTS, which support that early diagnosis through symptom-triggered testing which could lead to improved diagnosis of early-stage high grade serous ovarian cancer and low-volume disease.

Sudha Sundar is a gynaecological cancer surgeon and a researcher. Her research programme focusses on developing and validating new cancer diagnostics for ovarian cancer, cancer surgery and addressing inequalities in cancer outcomes using real world data. She has recently completed her term as the President of the British Gynaecological Cancer Society (2019-2022), the first women gynaecological oncologist to be elected to this post. She is the UK National Ovarian Cancer Audit lead.
