International Journal of Gynecological Cancer - Cervical Cancer Awareness Month Articles

To aid in promoting and raising awareness of cervical cancers, the International Journal of Gynecological Cancer (IJGC) is  offering free access to a selection of research articles and reviews from the past year.

Description

Throughout January, we observe Cervical Cancer Awareness Month (CCAM) as a time to raise awareness of the problem and magnify our support of the World Health Organization (WHO) global strategy to eliminate cervical cancer as a public health problem. The International Journal of Gynecological Cancer (IJGC) is also joining the movement by offering free access to a selection of research articles and reviews from the past year.

Cervical Cancer Awareness Month seeks to promote routine screenings and early detection through Pap smears and HPV testing; to encourage individuals, particularly adolescents, to get vaccinated against HVP to reduce the risk of developing cervical cancer; to educate individuals about the risk factors for and early symptoms of the disease; to reduce the stigma and fear associated with cervical cancer; to advocate for access to healthcare services, particularly in underserved communities; and to provide support, resources, and a sense of community for those affected, including patients, families, and caregivers.
